Emoji Birthday Party Ideas
This year for my daughter’s 6th birthday, she wanted an Emoji Birthday Party theme. I started early and made some cardboard emojis as well as some emoji party favors. I had the intention of “going big” this year with decorations, but it snuck up on me so fast with summer being quite busy.
We had a pool party at our house. I bought some emoji balloons as well as some emoji pillows for the lounge chairs. I had ordered a dozen emoji beach balls but they never came… darn it!
I made some centerpieces for the tables as well.
I placed the cardboard emoji faces and balloons I made out of an old box at the entrance.
I also placed some along with signs I made at the food table and the drink station. The signs I made said, “Let’s go swimming”, “I’m hungry let’s eat, “I’m thirsty, let’s get a drink.” I made them look like the speech bubbles in a text message complete with emojis and all.
Don’t worry… I served more than fruit but I wanted to spare you the pictures of chips, salad, pizza boxes and bread sticks! For drinks I made blue raspberry lemonade, pink lemonade, and water with watermelon and mint. I put them in glass jugs and used a wooden crate to add height. I made a little sign for each glass jug using the corresponding emojis.
Outside, I also stacked some beach balls and pool donuts I bought from the 99 cent store. These were a hit during the party. The kids and adults were free to use them and they did!
Inside I had the dessert station. I hired my friend from Sweet Tooth Cravings and More to make the poop cupcakes, emoji cake pops, and my daughter’s emoji birthday cake. She did an amazing job and it was all delicious. I did make the cake topper as well as the cake pop stands.
For favors we gave away Emoji Pez Dispensers and Mini Emoji Keychains! It turned out to be a fun party!
This is so cool!
Thank you! We missed you!
Loved all your decorations! What font did you use to make all your signs?
Thanks Joy! It is called Trebuchet MS.
This is such a cute party. My granddaughter is having an emoji birthday party in July. I may steal some of your ideas.(:.Where did you find the cute paper trays you had the cupcakes on? Thanks Sandy
Thank you, Sandy! I found those at Michael’s. They may have something similar new for this season.
Hate to bother you again. What did you use to hang the emoji’s on the table cloth so they wouldn’t fall off. Thanks so much
Ask away! You are never bothering me. Duct Tape!! It works really well on those plastic table clothes.
