Frozen Birthday Party Ideas

It was around 1984. I was in the third grade at recess wearing a shirt that said “Dinah” in pastel patchwork letters with a little brown haired girl with a ponytail on the front. Looking down probably shuffling my feet I hear a voice say hello.  I look up and meet Rhiannon for the first time. Three thousand miles away and thirty years later, we are still friends. Last weekend she shared some photos of her daughter’s sixth birthday party and I asked her if I could share it.  Here are some unique and clever Frozen birthday party ideas that Rhiannon Morgret, my friend, came up with.

Frozen DIY Party Favors

I LOVE these! Rhiannon made little Anna and Elsa themed make your own necklace kits.  For Anna she put pink cord, and pink, navy blue, and gold beads in a clear treat bag tied with pink and gold ribbon.  For Elsa, she put a blue necklace cord with blue, white, silver, and purple beads inside. She tied a navy blue and light blue ribbon on the bag.

She also made homemade white play dough and labeled the treat bags “Snowball Playdough” with a snowflake sticker and blue twine.

Frozen Birthday Party Food

Rhiannon was very clever coming up with themed food for the party.  She had food labels and signs for each item.  Here are some of her ideas:

• Snowflakes – Snowflake sugar cookies with blue and white icing
• Frozen Fractals – Blue Jello
• Frozen Hearts – White chocolate covered strawberries
• “We Finish Each Others” Sandwiches – Sandwich bar with all the condiments and fixings
• White chocolate dipped pretzel rods with blue sprinkles

Pin the Nose on Olaf

Rhiannon made a large pin the nose on Olaf board for the kids to play.

Frozen DIY Party Decorations

Rhiannon and her family printed enlarged characters and mounted them on plywood to make almost life sized characters for the guests to pose with. Here is Elsa and Olaf.

She also made signs with quotes from the movie and some other decorations.

Frozen Birthday Cake and Cupcakes

Rhiannon is a master of baking! She made these adorable Olaf Cupcakes and embellished them with cocktail umbrellas representing Olaf’s love for summer. She made Olaf out of icing and used mini pretzel rods as arms.
