Repurposed DIY Dog Bowl Stand

I was on a massive trash to treasure hunt the other day. I had some free time because my husband was on a date with our oldest daughter getting in some bonding time. So, the baby and I went to a couple thrift stores to see if we could find some potential new projects. One of our stops was Savers and I found a wine crate that interested me. I took it home and a couple days later it dawned on me that it would make the perfect repurposed dog bowl stand.

My phone accidentally took this photo. Ha!! That’s why it’s a little blurry. But there it is, on the bottom shelf. I thought it could be useful and it was only $3.00 so I grabbed it.

I turned it over and it had a decal that said “vino”, so I assumed that person who had it before me used it for wine.

My brother was visiting me a couple days later and was playing with the dog. He noticed that our old boy, Harley was straining to bend over to eat and drink. So, my brother would lift up his bowl and he would eat no problem.

I thought about the wine crate and brought it outside. At first I turned it over (bottom side up) and it was too high. Plus, the bowls could be knocked off easily. Then I turned it right side up and the dogs metal bowls fit perfectly inside. As a bonus, it was the perfect height for Har-dog!

I was going to paint it, but decided that I loved it just the way it was, especially sitting right there by his dog house. I think Harley likes it too!
