Print, Cut, and Hide: Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt Printable Clues

I have VERY fond memories of Easter. First, an Easter post was one of the first posts I ever wrote for this blog. Second, I recall getting to buy an Easter dress with a hat, gloves, shoes, and purse every year to wear to church Easter Sunday. I also participated in two Easter egg hunts, one at home, and one at a family friend’s. My parents would hide two Easter baskets for my brother and me.  One made of all chocolate (including the basket) and a regular Easter basket filled with goodies…spoiled much?

Needless to say, I love Easter. One of the most exciting things for me having a first grader is that they can read! So this year for Easter I decided to make a scavenger hunt versus just spreading out the eggs to hide.

Egg Hunt Welcome Clue

I thought I’d share the clues with you. I tried to keep them general so that they will work in your home too.  For example, one clue will work with a washing machine, a dishwasher or a vacuum. I made a printable so all you have to do is print them, cut them out, place them in the plastic eggs and hide them in the appropriate spot. Here are all the Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt Printable Clues.

First Clue: (Do not hide this one in an egg. Hand this to the kids when starting the hunt)

Welcome to an Easter Scavenger Hunt! We guarantee you’ll have some fun. A trail of clues will lead you around and in the end, there’s a prize to be found.  It’s time to start your hunt for eggs! The first clue you’ll find near a table leg.

Indoor Scavenger Hunt Clues

Clue: (Laundry Room or Dishwasher or near Vacuum Cleaner)

This egg you’ll find in a place that cleans. Sometimes it’s noisy because you’ll hear a machine.

Clue: (Couch or Sofa)

The next clue is in an egg where it’s comfy indeed. A place to relax, watch TV, and to read.

 

Clue: (Refrigerator or Freezer)

Brrrr! It’s cold in the next little place. If you’re hungry you might find something to stuff in your face!

Clue: (Bed)

Having fun yet? Hope you’re not falling asleep. The next egg you’ll find where you don’t make a peep. It’s a place really soft and you lay down your head, check all around, on top, or under a bed.

Clue: (Bathroom Drawer)

You open me up with a pull and a slide.  In a room where you shower is where I hide.

Last Clue: (This clue will lead them to their Easter Baskets or other treat hidden in a garage or carport or inside/near a car)

Now it’s time for the big surprise! Look very carefully with your beautiful eyes! It’s hidden in an area where we park the car. Walk! Don’t Run! No need to travel too far!
