Wine Tasting Party Ideas with Black Box Wines

With summertime quickly approaching, I tend to entertain more and more.  I LOVE playing hostess.  It’s always been a way for me to get creative.  Today I wanted to show you some wine tasting party ideas with Black Box Wines.  Here are four creative party ideas for hosting the perfect Black Box Wines tasting party.

One: Make inexpensive decorations.

Embellish recycled bottles with scrapbook paper and ribbon.  Place different colors, sizes, and heights in small groupings all around your party venue.  You can even use recycled wine crates and wooden frames as part of your décor.

Two: Make simple personalized wine charms.

Using craft punches, punch out each party attendee’s initials on colorful paper.  Use Mod Podge to make them sturdier.  Punch out a small hole at the top and use an earring hoop notion to complete your charm.  Your guests can take them home as a souvenir.

Three: Make wine tasting score cards.

Print wine scoring cards for each guest and let them rate each wine with a score from 1-5 in categories like appearance, aroma, body, taste, and finish.  Highest average for all the guests wins!

Four: Frame a little write-up of each Black Box Wine they will taste for their reference.  Print them on your computer and frame them as a decorative display.

1.       Sauvignon Blanc 2012 Valle Central Chile – This is a refreshing and zesty wine featuring stone fruit aromas and has the sweetness of peaches with slight floral notes.

2.       2011 California Merlot – This wine displays aromas of leathery plums and cinnamon-spiced oak.  The palate is smooth with sweet red currant flavors.

3.       2012 Coquimbo Region Chile Moscato – This medium bodied wine has sweet and luscious white floral notes and has a smooth palate of juicy peach and nectarine.

With these four simple party entertaining tips you’ll create a relaxing, thoughtful, and fun party that your guests will remember.
