DIY Repurposed Welcome Sign
I have to admit, I am one lucky gal to be doing what I love for a living. My days and weeks are filled with creativity and fun trash to treasure projects. I get to work with amazing brands and try all kinds of interesting products. I am constantly being challenged to create new projects and I absolutely LOVE it. I feel like these challenges make me a better blogger each time. Recently, I shared a simple DIY repurposed welcome sign on Bestlaminate Flooring blog. It looks so good by my front door and can be used all year round.
Ever since I made the sign, my neighbors and friends have been asking for one. It’s a great project for beginners. It’s also the perfect handmade gift that is both thoughtful and unique. You can also customize it with wood grain and colors. It only takes about 30 minutes to make with a few supplies.

You can also make other similar seasonal signs with words like “trick or treat” or “let it snow”. Or you can change the colors and patterns to represent different holidays.
In case you missed them, I share some other DIY tutorials for Bestlaminate including a repurposed vintage inspired serving tray, a repurposed laminate DIY coat hanger, as well as a tutorial for how to refurbish and paint a metal gate.
Stay tuned on Bestlaminate Flooring blog for another unique project I have coming up soon!
Looks great!
What a lovely sign! It’s simple but eye-catching. We’d love to have you share this at our weekly link party! Hope to see you there! http://www.thelifeofjenniferdawn.com/2015/12/8-things-to-make-this-winter-and-little.html
Thank you, Jennifer! I will check it out!
Great idea. How do you weatherproof it?
Thank you
I didn’t weather proof it, but at the time we lived in sunny California! You can brush a coat of polyeurathane on it.
How to did you seal the laminate so that the weather didn’t make it deteriorate?
Thank you.
