DIY Upcycled Halloween Owl

Easy DIY Upcycled Halloween Owl for Halloween

Upcycled Halloween Owl

For the Halloween edition of Craft Lightening this year, I had difficulty coming up with a 15 minute craft! At first I made some paper pumpkins for fall, and then I made a mummy trick or treat bucket, but both took longer than expected. The other day I was talking to one of my great friends, Tara, and it hit me! Tara is a lover of owls and I knew right away after chatting with her that I wanted to make a DIY upcycled Halloween owl.

Time: 15 Minutes (Excludes Drying)

I went on a hunt and immediately I found a white owl in the summer clearance section of Michael’s for $3.00! Score! There are three sizes and a bunch left, so go check it out!

I also found these blue and green beads and used my 40% off coupon.

I spray painted the owl in three light coats. Make sure you spray in a well ventilated area and allow it to dry in between coats.

Once the owl was completely dry, I hot glued the jewels onto the owl for the eyes. Hold the gem inside the eyes for a few seconds to allow it to dry so that it won’t slide.
