Instructions:

I used foam board for this project. It is inexpensive and easy to work with. I cut a flap off a piece of presentation board and drew the sword on it with a pencil.  I used a picture of the sword as a guide. Next, I cut out the sword with a sharp craft knife.

Once the board is cut out, erase the left-over pencil marks. Next, paint the blade of the sword in three coats of glow in the dark craft paint.  I used a foam brush and allowed it to dry in between coats. Lastly, I covered the sword handle with black duct tape. The duct tape doesn’t need to be perfect. I used about three layers of duct tape.

That’s it! It’s light and perfect to use as a Halloween prop for a Niko costume or even just for everyday play for the kiddos. I hope you try it.

Don’t forget! Watch Niko and the Sword of Light which debuts on Prime Video, Friday, July 21!!
