Paint Color Sample Bookmarks

Paint Sample Bookmarks (6)

I was so excited to try the LabelWorks Printable Ribbon Kit by Epson. When I opened the package I knew right away that I wanted to make a Teacher Appreciation gift for Mia’s Preschool teachers. In less than fifteen minutes I was able to make several upcycled paint color sample bookmarks!

You only need a few things to make these:

  • Printable Ribbon Kit
  • Paint color samples
  • Hole punch

Time: > 15 minutes

I had several paint color samples left over from a recent trip to Home Depot. I didn’t need them anymore, but thought they’d make colorful ombre bookmarks for Mia’s teachers.

The Printable Ribbon Kit is great because it comes with two kinds of ribbon and you can get creative with 14 different fonts, 10 font styles, boarders and symbols. The instructions were easy to read and follow. You need 6 AAA batteries to get it up and running. I played around with it and in minutes I made a few ribbons that said, “I love to read,” “I love reading”, and “Reading is sexy”. The last one was for me! Ha!

I cut my paint color samples in a jiffy with my paper cutter and punched a hole at the top of each one with a craft punch.

Lastly, I added the ribbon.
